Post 139, part of the American Legion Department of Wisconsin’s 8th district, was granted a permanent charter with the final signature of Department Commander, Daniel J. Seehafer on April 12, 2017.
Post 139 became a provisional charter on September 30th of last year after veteran members of the Wisconsin Operating Engineers along with other partners combined forces to construct a handicap-accessible trail for Camp American Legion located near Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Today, Post 139 has 47 members and regularly continues to add members to The American Legion, the largest veteran's service organization in the nation.
